Coconut on top of the Torrey Hills

Coconut in a pure bred English bulldog puppy born in October 2010. He is now 6 months old and in great shape (perhaps even a bit thin at 30 lbs). We started socializing him when he was 4 months old and have been taking him out on walks a lot.

He loves being outside, though the walking part is a bit iffy, needing a lot of encouragement at the start. If we are lucky and run into one of the poochy neighbors on the walk, though, then he becomes a much more willing walker. Once we get on the hiking trail nearby that is frequented by dogs, horses, and even goats - aside from the usual squirrels, rabbits, and gophers, then he loves exploring and moves at a good pace. Last week he climbed all the way to the top of a nearby steep hill during a morning walk (looking a bit more like a mountain goat than an English bulldog in the process) and enjoyed getting a 360 degree view of the area (Pacific Ocean included). I had to carry him part of the way down; however, since he tried to race me down the hill while attacking my shoes. :oP

Coconut is very sweet-tempered and can't pass anyone on the street without saying hello. Being so lean he doesn't have a lot of skin folds to fuss over yet, but he is still light enough to pass for a lap dog (his apparent life long ambition). He has a rather dominant personality and tends to bull-doze the small dogs in his puppy class when he 'plays' with them.

We are all very happy that all of his sharp baby teeth had fallen out and this new set of fangs are much easier on our hands when he lapses into his rough puppy love moments.
